The role of our Design Team and Kitchen Designer is to help our homebuyers through their interior selection process. So, it’s only natural that as our Designers spend a lot of time looking at different products, they’re always thinking of fun ways to revamp our Design Centre. Since the rest of our office underwent a renovation last year, we thought why not get our Designers to update the space and get the Design Centre to flow with the rest of our office space at the same time. Once we gave the Design Team the ‘go ahead’, we had a small window of opportunity to get everything done. Luckily we had the office holiday hours and our Design Supervisor, Sandi Fedorchuk, to get our Design Centre overhaul completed in record timing!
Our Designer Teams goal was to create a welcoming bright space as well as maximize our room for showcasing product. To achieve this, the first step was to update the entrance of the Design Centre. With fun features such as brick walls, open cabinetry, mirrors and not to mention a coffee station for any tired homebuyers, we think that the space is definitely warm and inviting.
Next our Kitchen Designer, Ryan Christensen, used white melamine cabinetry to brighten up the space. He was able to use some of the existing cabinetry and reface it with melamine in order to avoid any unnecessary waste. He also created new cabinetry to optimize space and storage. “I love how light the Design Center is now! It creates an excellent space to showcase all of our selections and colours.” Jessica Quast, Design Consultant.
New flooring in the kitchen and plumbing area were also installed. Our Designer selected our most sought out engineered hardwood and laminate flooring so that homebuyers could see it on a larger scale.
Not only did we revamp what was already in the Design Centre but we also planned for a better use of space. A new carpet display was created so that homebuyers could see their options at a glance. “I love our new carpet display as it showcases all of our carpet samples in a much more visual way. It’s also categorized by price, which gives homebuyers an idea of the different options within their budget.” Amy Marchand, Design Consultant.
We’re thrilled to have our Design Centre updated and can’t wait to invite our homebuyers in to make their selections!
Have a good weekend,
