Back to School in YYC

By Stephanie Miller, Marketing Coordinator

Back in the Spring of 2015, the Government of Alberta announced new schools to be built in Calgary and we were thrilled when we saw our South East communities of Auburn Bay, Cranston and New Brighton on the list! Having a school close to home is a great amenity for residents when building in a new community. There is still construction underway for some schools but others will open just in time for the new school year. Here are the details of which schools are opening in these communities.

Walden

In Walden, residents will be excited to hear that there are designated school sites within the community that have been allocated for a future Public Elementary School and a future Separate Elementary/Junior High School. These sites are within walking distance of the homes in both Phase 21 and Phase 27. Check both the Calgary Board of Education and Calgary Catholic Board of Education websites for more information and updates.

It’s great to see that our already remarkable South East communities will even be more appealing to our home buyers!

Have a great long weekend,

Cedarglen Marketing
