Cedarglen Homes has always valued and supported our Calgary communities and are continuously looking for new ways to help contribute. A special partnership that has been building over the last few years is our involvement with Wellspring Calgary. In August of 2013, Cedarglen Homes announced that we were bringing the Wellspring Calgary experience to Auburn Bay. Now after a few short months we are ready to officially open the doors to the Wellspring Calgary Home! With the help from our trades and suppliers, the temporary location is built next to our existing showhome parade in Auburn Bay. Conveniently located near the new South Health Campus, the showhome will serve as a platform for Wellspring Calgary to reach a wider audience. Through the showhome, Wellspring Calgary will offer special programs to anyone affected by cancer as well as spread the awareness of their foundation and the support that they provide. On June 5, 2014, the home will be sold and the value from the sale will be donated to Wellspring Calgary.
If you follow Cedarglen Homes on Facebook or Twitter you have been introduced to the different stages of this exciting project! When the Wellspring Calgary Home was handed over to our Design Consultant, Sandi Ferdorchuk, she didn’t waste any time turning 183 Auburn Springs Blvd. into a welcoming home. Touches of Wellspring Calgary can be found throughout the 2160 square feet. The first to stand out is the bold green and purple painted feature walls that are a focal point in the home. Those Wellspring Calgary colors continue to be found throughout the homes decor (some more creative touches from Sandi). Members of Wellspring Calgary are responsible for the creative artwork hanging in the showhome, which will also be auctioned off on June 5, 2014.
The upper floor of the Wellspring Calgary Home is not set up like a typical showhome. Specific rooms have been designed and decorated to provide information on Wellspring Calgary’s available resources and for programs that will be offered at the showhome. The bonus room has been left as an open space with a vaulted ceiling and plenty of windows, which will serve as a yoga room. The master bedroom will be used as a meeting space for groups. Bedroom # 2 is set up as a counseling room and bedroom #3 provides information on Wellspring Calgary’s art program and its healing qualities.
The building process of this showhome has been special for Cedarglen Homes. We’ve been amazed at the support we’ve received from our trades and suppliers and inspired by the personal stories that some have shared. We are humbled by the message that Wellspring Calgary represents and are excited to share it with the community. The showhome will be open as of February 15, 2014 at noon and we encourage everyone to come out to Auburn Bay and see for themselves what makes Wellspring Calgary so special!
Enjoy your weekend,
